Yocto Requirements

Since the core of the SDK is based on the Yocto project, the instructions below should be suitable for any host-system which is compatible with Yocto project. But, it is highly recommended to use ubuntu-12.04.5 (either 32 bit or 64 bit) as the SDK was tested using this version.

If the Host build system is on a Virtual Machine (VM), please set the VM with the following configurations:

Minimum Disk space : 200 GB
CPU cores : 4
RAM : 4 GB
When using ubuntu-12.04.5 image, deselect the "Accelerate 3D graphics" within the Display option.

Once, the VM is installed, download the security/application updates as required. Do not select/install any new release of Ubuntu (e.g Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS) when prompted.

NOTE: Each new/clean build of an image consumes around 50GB of disk space.
